Newer models use a C instead of an E — 4C rather than 4E — with the same meaning. Photograph the code and send it over for a sharper estimate.

4E / 4CWater inlet problem
Failed inlet valve, valve filter blocked with scale, closed tap, or low mains pressure. We clean the valve filter before replacing anything.
5E / 5CDrainage problem
Blocked drain filter, failed pump, or a kinked drain hose. The code we see most, and most of them end in a simple clean.
UE / UBUnbalanced load
Laundry bunched on one side, uneven feet, or weak shock absorbers on older machines.
3E / 3CMotor error
Tacho speed sensor, motor connector, or the motor itself. Needs electrical testing.
DE / DCDoor not closed
Failed electric door lock or a misaligned latch. Sometimes laundry caught in the seal.
LE / LCWater leak detected
The base leak sensor found water. Usually from the door seal or an internal hose connection.
HE / HCHeating error
Scaled or open-circuit heating element, or a faulty thermistor. Dammam’s hard water accelerates this.
OE / OCOverfill
Failed pressure sensor or an inlet valve that will not close. Stop the machine and shut the water tap immediately.
